Escape with the children for a holiday that everyone enjoys.
Travelling with children means that you’ll need to think about things that just weren’t on your radar before. Will the kids find enough things to do? Will they like the food and drink? What’s the accommodation like, and how long will it take to get there?
Here are 5 great holiday locations for kids, to make booking your next trip easier.
Spain
Spain is an incredibly popular holiday destination, thanks in part to its fantastic weather. In fact, 15.62 million UK residents went to Spain in 2018 alone!
One of the best places for a family holiday, Salou offers beautiful beaches for rest and relaxation. Water parks, and Port Aventura theme parks, will occupy kids of all ages. And for something a bit different, plan a day trip to Barcelona .
You could also choose to visit the Canary Islands. Costa Teguise in Lanzarote is a great destination for families. From the airport, a 15-minute taxi ride should get you to your accommodation.

Germany
Visit Europe’s largest theme park on a family holiday in Germany. If you’re a family of thrill-seekers, then you might want to visit Germany and book tickets for Europa-Park in the South West. It’s been named as the Best Theme Park in the annual Golden Ticket Awards. There’s also Funny-World nearby, which is an amusement park aimed specifically at children up to 12.
Interestingly, if you’re planning a holiday in Rust, where Europa-Park is located, you’re better off flying to France. Strasbourg Airport is the closest, just a 38-minute drive away, with buses and trains also available quite cheaply.

Lapland in Finland
For a very different kind of family holiday, why not book flights to Lapland? This festive holiday destination includes opportunities to visit Santa, go on a sleigh ride and enjoy activities like hiking and skiing. So even teenagers won’t feel left out.
There are resorts in Lapland that are specifically aimed at families, with leisure facilities and entertainment. The Lapland elves will also keep children busy, with a whole host of crafts and activities.

Florida
No family holiday list would be complete without mentioning Florida. From a vast array of theme parks to the Universal and Disney theme parks, there’s so much to keep a family occupied. A holiday in Florida is absolutely magical.
Children 6 and over can even swim with dolphins at the popular Discovery Cove. If your children are fussy eaters, Florida’s a place where all of their needs will be accommodated. Just check weather reports carefully, to avoid travelling with young children during Hurricane season or in extremely high temperatures.

United Kingdom
The UK is a great place for a family holiday.
The holiday parks here are popular with young families because many offer such a wide range of family entertainment. Or you could try camping. It’s not for everyone, but could be perfect for a budget break where the children are free to roam.
Most UK hotels have family rooms available. You could visit theme parks, farms, museums and other attractions, all without leaving the country.
However you holiday, sharing the experience with kids will leave you with a lifetime of memories.
